Was watching this show call Red Line 2 days ago....i realized they say for cars no matter how fast it is...there is a limit u cannot cross or else the car will flip. (True/False)??
Eg. car thrusting too fast the air flow below the car will flip the car upwards.
i wud say its all about ground effects, the diffusers, the rear wing n wad ever aerodynamics thats applied on the car, using downforce to "push" the car onto the tarmac.air (known as dirty air)that passes below the car can cause turbulence when going at very high speed can upset the car's stability.
powerful RWD cars can do a wheelie n flip if clutch is not controlled properly,(read american dragster)
the cars u see flipping in movies, there are hidden ramps to launch the cars airborne..if u seen russell swift in action,u will know exactly how he gets the scooby onto 2 wheels
hitting a (small)stone will only make u lose control momentarily,or damage the windscreen of the car behind u.. unless the car slide n hit onto a kerb than it will flip with an angle of difficulty of 3.3...
seeya!

Reason: rephased (small) stone
i had seen a race on tv before.. dunno what car was that.. something like f1, or should i say, they look like lambos.. low low flat flat kind... while travelling at high speed, one of the race cars indeed lifted off and did a somersault in the air

low low flat flat look like lambo? roti prata on wheels!!
bro,i think wad u referring to are the LeMans cars..n the vdo u saw was probably the one where the cars were coming down the long back straights approaching a right bend n it suddenly flipped few times in the air..
if i remembered clearly,it aerodynamics issues that causes it to flipped n notice i use the word coming down as it was the back end straight of the track n theres a slight incline before sweeping into the right turn..the carrying speed n the slope leading towards the approaching bend played havoc with the cars ground effect hence the flip. now u got me thinking..i cant remember which track was it..i think maybe either @ imola or nurburgring...
