depending on your budget you may want to consider :

1. Solar film, given our hot climate, for your car - watch out for the LTA regulations
2. have your car coated with a paint protector, I used Amazing Glaze
3. buy some good car shampoo - try Glym
4. quickly polish up your leather car seats before it get soiled
5. I wanted to get mud flaps from C&C but not available for this model. I went to a shop in Bkt Merah and nothing fits.

let me know your FC. I drive 75%- busy heavy traffic road. Dash board shows about 25km/h and 25% - light traffic ( 40-50km/h) Your metre will tell you

Hiya, thanks for the info.

Have you heard of Mad Detailer? I am thinking of using their polishing service. :icon52:

Not sure about Mad but my experience with wax polishing, and I am not sure what Mad is using, is no good. Usually, after 2-3 washes the wax is gone. So repeatly you need to go back to them for waxing.

Go and look up on Paint Protector in the internet (Singapore) There are a couple of them and they use different "ingredients".

Congratulations... which variant you bought? 1.5 or 2.0L? Elegance, Sports or GT?
Do post your FC so that all can benefit from yr info. (also include % city and % highway)

Am driving an Altis now and am considering EX GT.. my main concern is the FC.

About PPS, you can try Toughseal, they are quality service and realiable. Have used it on my ALtis and I don't bother washing my car at all.. once in a while, I will go and get it washed and polished. and it will look as good as new. The are other pps out there so do your homework properly... be level headed on the offering on each of these companies.. to me, any company that bad mouth another do not deserve my business. :) Go for a reputable one who have been around and not the new comers.. Just my own advice. Have fun and enjoy your ride...

Do get a air compressor as a back up.. you may never know when you will need one... Also good to keep a 2L bottle of water in your car... Any Bird Shit, don't pour water on the tissue/paper and wipe immediately..... it will get your new baby loads of scratches..... A tip would be get good thick tissue like KFC/Mac Donalds etc... put those on top of the bird shit, pour water generously over the tissue and ensure it is soaking wet... after 5-10mins, then clean it in one smooth wipe.. don't use the soiled or wet tissue to clean left and right.. it will create more damage than u can imagine...

The Lancer Ex FC is pretty decent. I'm averaging about 14.5km/l on EWay and about 9km/l in heavy traffic. So the average FC for myself is about 12km/l, 2.0L Sports. Got it when it was $73,988. Kinda sad that it's so much cheaper now.. =X

Anyway, my SE did up my car with System 6. Quite reasonable. Still shiny but got a couple of scratches already.

Btw, how much does it cost to get a turbo in?
