i30 FC is at about 11.6km/l if you are using a 17" rims. About 13.5km/l if you are using stock 15" rims. Thats what I have tested and I like to use hard accleration. Could be better if you just drive normally. To pump a full tank of petrol is usually about 45-50 litres when I see the low fuel warning. Can go about 550km. The car is very stable and I would suggest you to do a test drive and compare the cars... you will know the difference esp with the thud sound when you close the i30/avante door compare to the clang when you close a 50-60k range jap car.

Hey dannis, thanks for sharing. I went to komoko recently noticed the difference of the door thingy u mentioned. Well i haven't gone for a test drive. Though avante cld be gg at a rock bottom price i m getting a very bad trade in value for my matrix n worse the lowest possible i got in town is from the hyundai dealer itself.

u are right but i have seen KIA cerato forte as comparison, it seems more responsive than avante. Claimed to have a full aluminium engine chasis. Anyone can clarify that?

If you started with a full tank, then your FC should be only about 11.29km/L, which is not good.
Are you driving mostly in town area?
But the saleman claims that it is around 14.5 km/L when travelling in the city roads and highway. And it is LTA tested....
This is bad news for me as I will be getting my Avante early next month. :(

its the salesman ... do you believe them?
I was hoping for 12-13 actually...
My wife told me that the uncle "squeeze" fuel into the car... so FC shd be ard 12... This is based on my second top-up as well...

Hi htc again,
I beleive you just collected your Avante right? It's having a run-in period before 5000km. Don't ask me why run-in for so long. I asked the Komoco and this is the answer i got. After run-in period, it should be around 12-13 km/lit in city if you were to ask me and 15-16 km/lit for exp way.
By the way, do you know that while in run-in period, you not suppose to ram your car at all? It will affect your future FC if you keep ramming it. This is just my share. My advise is keep below 80km/hr while in run-in period so you can enjoy better FC when its over.

thanks...5000 is super long man...
from the instruction manual, the proper run-in approach is to keep rev between 2-4000 rpm and speed not constant...they din say anything abt max speed...
